Driving Real Estate Innovation for Education and Beyond

Andrew Robinson is a passionate real estate advisor and developer who excels at negotiating great deals and creating innovative solutions to push projects through to successful completion and meet the goals of his clients and investors.  With both an MBA and law degree, Andrew brings business and legal acumen to each facet of complex real estate development – from market analysis, acquisition and contract negotiation, to due diligence, governmental compliance, cost management and conflict resolution.  Andrew has been leading Robinson Williams since 2014 and has developed over $500 million commercial real estate projects over the course of his development career.

Recent projects include the acquisition, entitlement and construction of “The Landings at Gateway,” a for-rent townhome complex in Denver, as well as the acquisition and entitlement of a 300-unit apartment, townhome complex near Denver International Airport.

Andrew began his real estate career advising and developing for school districts.  For over a decade, Andrew managed virtually every type of real estate issue for Denver Public Schools (DPS).  He worked on the development of dozens of DPS facilities, including elementary and secondary schools, athletic facilities, operational facilities and offices.  Andrew led contract negotiations, identified and managed due diligence of viable sites, developed the cost, timeline, and financial models, identified and contracted with architects and construction contractors, and managed and oversaw the project budgets.

Prior to beginning his real estate practice in Colorado, Andrew practiced corporate and international law including several years with a Catalan law firm in Barcelona, Spain.  Speaking very little Spanish (and even less Catalan) but quite fluent in English, he was quickly thrown in to negotiate and craft agreements with international companies that wished to negotiate and enter into contracts in English.  From negotiating with Russian film distributors in Moscow to testifying in court for a copywrite case in Greece, the experience of living and working internationally fostered the creative problem-solving skills and determination that are crucial to being a successful real estate developer.
